Our History
Rewarding Environments for Adult Living Inc. (REAL) is a multi-faceted organization which provides services and supports to Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community based settings.
REAL, Inc. was founded in 2006 by Executive Director Mr. Travis Archie. He visualized developing supports and services for Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families that were meaningful, rewarding and more importantly, REAL. It is the mission of REAL, Inc. to have a positive effect on the lives of 300 people who have entrusted us with their care.
The acronym for the organization reflects our intent to exemplify a level of honesty, integrity and dedication during the process of service delivery. REAL currently services over 300 Individuals throughout the five Boroughs and Long Island, via our community based services.
Our Mission
The name of the organization reflects its primary mission. REAL seeks to provide services and supports that sustain, enhance, or create environments that are rewarding for children, adults and families. Our objective is to have a positive effect on the lives of Individuals who have entrusted us with their care. The acronym for the organization REAL reflects our intent to exemplify a level of honesty, integrity and dedication during the process of service delivery. We are motivated by serving Individuals of diverse ethnical, social and economic backgrounds. We truly believe that all persons can live rewarding lives regardless of their particular situation.
